Dr. Radhakrishna Reddy Mardi, the Head of the Freshmen Engineering Department of CMR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, earned his Doctorate in Chemistry from Sri Krishnadevaraya University in 1998 with his acclaimed thesis, “Studies in the Chemistry of Macrocyclic Organocobalt Complexes”.

After this major achievement, he pursued Postdoctoral Research on “Heme Oxygenase Enzymes of Rat Liver” at Oklahoma State University in 2000, under the guidance of Dr. Mario Reviera. Dr. Reddy’s profound expertise includes Biological Chemistry, Biomaterials, and Nanomaterials, reflected in over 20 peer-reviewed journals and a notable book chapter, “Fungus-mediated Synthesis of Gold Nanomaterials,” published in Elsevier.

With his immense knowledge and expertise in the subject, Professor Reddy has supervised numerous research projects and scholars. Having more than 25 years of teaching experience in Engineering Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry, Dr. Reddy held significant administrative positions at Dayananda Sagar Institutions, Bangalore, and Dr. B.V. Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur, before bringing his knowledge and skills to CMR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
